In 1961 Andy Warhol came up with the idea of using popular items in his art.He called it pop art. He would use pictures of these common items and change their colours. Andy used bright, contrasting colours in his art.

 Kandinsky thought that shaps and colours buy them selves were art. He felt that he could express feelings and music through colours and shaps in his paintings. He thougt that yellow sounded like a trumpet and that some colours put together could sound like a piano.
